The final day of the shuffleboard season on March 12, 2026, was filled with high stakes, fierce competition, and a touch of Florida heat. With a warm, steady breeze blowing across the courts, players gathered for an intense series of semi-finals and a championship match that will go down in league history.

 

 

The semi-final action kicked off at 11:00 am, with two intense battles deciding who would move on to the championship. On Court 1, the match between Team 31 (G. Upton and K. McCartney) and Team 13 (C. Cantelon and J. Cantelon). Team 13 proved their consistency by winning two straight matches to secure their spot.

 

On Court 4, the match between Team 14 (R. Fox and J. Abt Fox) and Team 23 (S. & S. Hansen) was a real nail-biter. After trading wins in the first two matches, Team 23 pulled off a decisive victory in the third match to punch their ticket to the finals.

 

 

 

 

By 12:00 pm, the stage was set for the Grand Final on Court 4. The atmosphere was electric as Team 23 and Team 13 faced off with black and yellow discs.

 

Team 23 struck first, taking the opening match with poise. However, Team 13 refused to fold, storming back to win the second match and force a deciding third. The final match became an instant classic.

 

With Team 13 trailing 43 to 47 and Team 23 sitting on a commanding 22 points on the board, C. Cantelon stepped up for what many are already calling the greatest shuffleboard shot of all time. In a moment of pure brilliance, she cleared the board of all opponent points. Riding that momentum, Team 13 rallied in the final round to clinch the match and the championship title.

 

 

 

 

The final match concluded at 12:55 pm, marking the end of a highly competitive and welcoming season. We have captured the action with photos of our semi-finalists and finalists, and, most importantly, the winning moment is preserved in our video gallery for everyone to enjoy.

Our vendor has delivered a beautiful, high-quality surface that is now officially cured and ready for play. The courts look fantastic and provide a superior, consistent playing surface for your best games yet. Thank you for your patience during this enhancement process. The improvements continue here at the resort! We are excited to announce that work is currently underway to resurface our shuffleboard courts.

 

If you've walked past the area, you'll see the fresh, vibrant first coat of dark blue paint is already down. This much-needed maintenance will give our courts a beautiful, smooth, and consistent new playing surface once the final coat and lines are painted.

 

For everyone's safety and to allow the new surface to cure properly, the courts are currently blocked off with caution tape.

 

We are working closely with the contractors and will provide a finished date as soon as we can confirm it. Thank you for your patience as we complete this enhancement. We can't wait to see you sliding discs on these fantastic new courts soon!
