The greens were a little brighter (and a lot louder) this week as our league hosted the highly anticipated Ugly Sweater/T-Shirt Open. It was a day where the "Faux-lidays" took center stage, proving that while our swings might be professional, our fashion choices are gloriously questionable.
From questionable knits to t-shirts that probably should have stayed in the back of the closet, the course was a sea of holiday hilarity.
Sweet Treats

A huge shout-out goes to our incredible staff, who made sure we were fueled up for 9-holes of fashion-backwards golf. The registration table was transformed into a holiday haven, complete with a spread of festive candy and, the real stars of the show, homemade cookies and brownies. Whether you were celebrating a birdie or drowning your sorrows after a triple-bogey, a homemade brownie definitely makes everything better. A big thank you to the team for providing that extra touch of "home for the holidays" spirit!
Fashion Stars (and Scares)

While many golfers showed up in their "best" worst looks, one man managed to truly stop traffic on the cart path. Carl Booth stole the show with a t-shirt that can only be described as a masterpiece of holiday kitsch: the "Beer Belly, Biker Santa." It was a fashion statement that will likely be talked about for seasons to come.
On the Leaderboard
Despite the distracting attire, there was some serious golf being played. The competition was tight at the top, but a few players managed to keep their cool (and their reindeer antlers straight) to take home the win:
- 1st Place: Mike Eggleston (+2)
- 2nd Place: Keith Sobol (+3)
- 3rd Place: Jim Thompson (+3)
The Big Winners
Beyond the main leaderboard, a few individuals walked away with extra bragging rights: Keith Sobol had a particularly impressive outing, cleaning up in both the Skins and the Two's Club, while Milton Saba showed everyone how it's done on the par 3s to grab the Closest to the Pin title.
A "Tacky" Success
Whether you were dodging tinsel during your backswing or just trying to keep a straight face while putting next to a Biker Santa, the Ugly Sweater/T-Shirt Open was a fantastic reminder that our league knows how to have fun.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made this event one for the history books. We can’t wait to see what you pull out of your closets next year!
